Biography: Johan van der Merwe (1 Jan 1950 - 31 Jul 2012) was an Afrikaans actor. He played the role of Jan in Nommer asseverseel, one of the first Afrikaans TV series. He also acted in films such as Lipstiek Dipstiek and Hoofmeisie and was the voice of the chameleon in Nuustak. Van der Merwe also played the role of Gert Lubbe in Radio Sonder Grense 's Stralerjakkers.
