Biography: Wojciech (pronounced "Voytek" in English) was born in 1936. Wojciech was the son of Jan Frykowski and Teofila Stefanowska. He had two brothers: Jerzego Kajetana and Macieja. He graduated from the Textile Technician School in Lodz and then the Textile Faculty at the Technical University of Lodz. In November 1958 he married Lodz model Ewa Maria Morelle, who in 1959 gave birth to their son Bartek. In 1963 he was the husband of Agnieszka Osiecka, a famous Polish song writer and author, whom he married in Zakopane. They divorced a year later and had no children. His family was wealthy and well-known, and he received a degree in chemisty, but spent all his time around film and studio personnel. His obvious interest into film led him to Roman Polanski, and after a rocky start, they became friends. This relationship led him to a friendship with Abigail Folger, the Folger Coffee heiress. He moved to the United States with hopes to break into the movie business, and planned to become a screenwriter in Hollywood. On the night of August 8, 1969, Wojciech and Abigail went out with their friends, Sharon Tate and Jay Sebring, to dinner and then later returned to Roman Polanski's home for the evening. Early in the morning of August 9, members of the Charles Manson cult broke into the home and killed everyone inside. His body was cremated and he was interred in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Łódź, Poland.
