Biography: Maria Lúcia Godoy (Mesquita, September 2, 1924) is a Brazilian lyrical singer. Hers is the most famous recording of the Brazilian Bachianas nº 5, by Villa-Lobos, a composer in which she specialized. She had a special appearance in the films Os Senhores da Terra, Navalha na Carne and Poeta de Sete Faces — in the latter singing "Cantiga do Viúvo", a song by Villa-Lobos based on a poem by Carlos Drummond de Andrade.
