Biography: Caleb Reginald McLaughlin (born October 13, 2001) is an American actor and singer. He is known for playing Lucas Sinclair in the Netflix series Stranger Things. Caleb made his Broadway debut as Young Simba in the Lion King on Broadway, 2012-2014. Caleb performed in the Off-Broadway show, Painted Rocks at Revolver Creek, written and Directed by Athol Fugard, where he received incredible reviews and praise for his role as Bokkie. Caleb performed as Alex in the Kurt Weil Opera, Lost in the Stars with the Washington National Opera at Kennedy Center, Washington, DC and the Glimmerglass Opera in Cooperstown. Caleb gained international fame for his portrayal of Lucas Sinclair in the hit Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’ 2016-present. The show became a cultural phenomenon, and Caleb’s performance earned him critical acclaim. In 2017, McLaughlin appeared in the BET miniseries The New Edition Story as young Ricky Bell. He received several nominations and awards for his work, including the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Performance by a Youth in 2018.
