Biography: Dez Dickerson is a musician, composer, and actor. He is best known as Prince's first rhythm guitar player from his first tour until the 1999 album and tour. Dickerson appeared in Prince's movie Purple Rain, leading a competing band at the First Avenue club. Retiring from rock music soon after for religious reasons, Dickerson now composes and performs movie soundtracks.
