Biography: Johan Botha is a South African actor. Botha's portrayal of the father in David Eldridge's Festén (translated by Hennie van Greunen; directed by Heinrich Reisenhofer) is widely regarded as his masterpiece. He is married to actress Lida Botha. The couple appeared in numerous TV and film productions and were known at all the Afrikaans art festivals for their Grandfather and Grandmother stories.
