Biography: Lloyd has been a professional actor, writer and director for over 40 years. He has worked with many leading writers and directors including: film directors Mike Leigh, Ken Russell (in 'Lair of the White Worm') , Alan Bleasdale (twice ) Michael Wearing and Philip Saville. Lloyd has appeared in a large number of television and radio drama and comedy productions playing a variety of major roles. These include leading and featured parts in Mike Leigh's film 'Home Sweet Home', 'Boys From The Blackstuff', 'Last of the Summer Wine', 'Coronation Street', 'Heartbeat', 'Boy Who Won the Pools', 'The History Man; and Vanity Fair (radio) series, among many others.
