Biography: Jason Mewes (born June 12, 1974) is an American actor and comedian best known for portraying Jay, one-half of the duo Jay and Silent Bob, in Kevin Smith’s View Askewniverse films. Since his debut in Clerks (1994), he has appeared in numerous films, television shows, and podcasts, building a cult following through his long-running collaboration with Smith.
