Biography: Beeban Kidron is an English film director known for her much-lauded adaptation of Jeanette Winterson's autobiographical novel Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit and for directing Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. In 2008, with Lindsey Mackie, she founded the charity Filmclub, which has since grown to be one of the largest and most influential after-school clubs in the UK, attracting over 160,000 children and young people each week.
