Biography: Jia Angeli Carla Tolentino (born 1988) is a Canadian-American writer, editor and actress. She is a staff writer for The New Yorker. She has previously worked as deputy editor of Jezebel and a contributing editor at The Hairpin. Her writing has also appeared in The New York Times Magazine and Pitchfork. She has appeared in The Premise (2021), 30 Beats (2012) and Out of My League (2016).
