Biography: LP, sometimes credited by their birth name Laura Pergolizzi, is an American singer, musician and songwriter. LP has released seven albums and three EPs. LP has written songs for other artists including Cher, Rihanna, the Backstreet Boys, Leona Lewis, Mylène Farmer, Céline Dion and Christina Aguilera. LP was born on Long Island in 1981 to Italian-American parents, their paternal grandfather coming from Palermo and grandmother from Naples. They began using the name "LP" after moving to New York City.
