Biography: Joud Said is a Syrian director and writer born in 1980 in Damascus, Syria. He holds an MA in Directing from Lousi lomiere in France (2007). He has under his belt a number of shorts and feature films that toured international festivals garnering awards, including Monologue (2007), Wada’an (2008), Mara Okhra (2009) that garnered Best Arab Film award at San Francisco Film Festival and Jury award at Damascus Film Festival, My Last Friend (2012), Waiting For the Fall (2015) that won the golden prize at Horizons of Arab Cinema Competition at Cairo International Film Festival and Best Script award at Oran International Arabic Film.
