He is an actor and director, best known for Pitch Black (2000), Breaker Morant (1980) and Home and Away (1988). His academic qualifications include PhD (UNE), MA (Comms) UNE, BDA (Acting) NIDA. Fitz-Gerald lectures in Screen and Media Studies at Australia's University of New England.
