Biography: Omar Guendouz (in Arabic: عمر قندوز), born March 25, 1950 in Algiers and died September 1, 2021, is an Algerian actor. Born in the Zoudj Ayoun district of Algiers, Omar Guendouz joined the Algiers conservatory where his singing teacher was Mahieddine Bachtarzi. After obtaining his diploma, he started in the theater by playing in a few plays including "Boualem Zid El Goudem" and "Babor Ghraq" with Slimane Benaïssa and Rouiched. Known as Dahmane, a role he played alongside Nawel Zaatar in "Zawjan Fi Hayra", had shone during his long artistic career in several Algerian productions. Actor, imitator, the one who was nicknamed “the Man-Show”, will die in Blida on September 1, 2021 as a result of the Coronavirus.
