Biography: Bruce Bernard Smith (born June 18, 1963) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end for 19 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), primarily with the Buffalo Bills. He played college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies, earning All-American honors twice. He was selected by the Bills with the first overall pick in the 1985 NFL draft.
