Biography: José Mayer Drumond Araujo (Jaguaraçu, October 3, 1949) is a Brazilian actor. He began his career in 1963 in theater and in 1975 in cinema in Enigma para Demônios and A Mulher do Desejo. On television, his debut occurred two years later on the children's program Sítio do Picapau Amarelo. However, his first recognition was in 1984 in the miniseries Bandidos da Falange, in which he played Jorge Fernando, a role that earned him the APCA Award for Best Male Revelation.
