Overview: David Gilmour, guitarist and singer of the legendary cult band Pink Floyd, will play a three-hour concert on the open-air stage at Stuttgart's Schlossplatz as part of the jazzopen on July 14, 2016. In June 2015, the artist started a world tour "Rattle That Lock" across the five continents, which will also bring him to Germany in the summer of 2016. Gilmour will give the only festival concert in Germany at the jazzopen. The world star will play two sets on Stuttgart's Schlossplatz: a cross-section of the music from his solo albums and a journey through the oeuvre of Pink Floyd.
