Overview: Frustrated journalist Paulo is ensnared by neighbor Marina, waitress and actress. Trapped in work, creative block, and Marina's grip, Paulo chooses to cut ties. Drunk, he records a love-hate farewell on a cassette for her. Film depicts his escape attempt and internal battle, shared through recording for the absent Marina.
