Overview: After the death of the 12th-generation boss, Gunji Washio, the Naito Shinjuku Family attempts to rebuild under acting boss Kanemaru (Masaya Kato). However, a clash arises with the underboss, Reiji (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi), who nominates Gunji’s successor, Taiga Washio (Haruto Ochiai), as the 13th-generation boss. This discord fractures the once-unified family. Adding to the chaos, the Tokyo Four Society, which had been held together by Gunji’s absolute leadership, falls into disarray. Shinjuku descends once more into a lawless battlefield of feuding yakuza factions. The conflict between Reiji’s sense of justice and Kanemaru’s vision of leadership traces its origins back to a tragic incident during the era of the 11th-generation boss, Kiryu Washio (Shinzo Horita).
