It very subtly incorporates the story beats from Casablanca into its plot structure and keeps the laughs coming with witty dialog and some shocking sight gags. At its core it is a statement on gentrification and how it can ruin the very thing it is trying to preserve. But really it is just a fun movie to enjoy if you are a fan of movies from the early 2000's. There are some dated references, gross out humor, and other shenanigans, but it is also a hilarious movie you can get some great one liner's from if that is your thing.
