Overview: At Dresden's Kreuzkirche, the city's Staatskapelle orchestra and bass René Pape, conducted by Martin Lehmann, will perform the world premiere of Sven Helbig's Requiem A. In response to current wars, Sven Helbig composed his Requiem A 80 years after the destruction of Dresden. This monumental work will receive its world premiere at Dresden's Holy Cross Church. The choir of this Lutheran church and the Sächsische Staatskapelle are joining forces for the event. Opera singer René Pape completes this high-caliber cast.
