Digging out the truth

Overview: In February of 1976, eight people, two of them children, were killed in the region of Smara (Western Sahara). Their bodies had never been found, the causes of their death was never explained, and, in some cases, not even confirmed whether they were still alive or not. However, 37 years later, a group of experts from the Society of Science Aranzadi, Hegoa Institute and the University of the Basque Country, called by the Association of the Families of Sahrawi Prisoners and Disappeared (AFAPREDESA) and by the relatives, has found the remains of those people. This finding confirms what families and witnesses have claimed for years, the truth.
