It should have been a good movie, but it moves too fast. It relies on Madsen's information drops to fill in the story as it fast forwards to fight scenes that would make no sense without it. They needed to slow things down enough for the audience to get a sense of the world they were in and the stakes and players involved. Blood Rayne isn't exactly Mortal Kombat, the IP isn't as widely known and the plot is a bit deeper. But instead it just flies along without setting the...well... the anything.
