As family and neighbours face conflicts both within themselves and each other, decisions and opinions lead to situations which, although traumatic, ultimately lead to an understanding of Ludo by her family and for Ludo, that she is not alone. The subject is treated sensitively and a playful innocence gives the film a positive, affirming tone to what could have been a bleak storyline.
