The Sky's the Limit

He falls for her big style, and is soon courting her under an assumed identity. What follows is quite a gentle little romance, with the two dancing around each other with the help of Robert Ryan and Robert Benchley. Messrs. Mercer & Arlen deliver a good score, but not a great one - and the killer number "One for my Baby" comes just a bit too late in the day to raise this from mediocrity. It isn't a bad film, and at times the script is quite funny, but mostly it's just a standard little vehicle for the star that frequently goes over old ground.
