Overview: The story focuses on a middle-class family. It introduces us to two characters: Corina, secretary of Don Emilio Condal, and his brother Julián, a newspaper columnist. Condal is an influential lawyer, who has great commercial projects of national interest. A foreigner coerces him to stop oil exploration through him. Julian learns of the plan through his sister, but keeps silent. On the other hand, Condal's daughter has fallen in love with Julian, to whom she has given her blood in a transfusion. In the end everything ends well, including the wedding.
