This time the shark jumps out of the water more frequently, swims around its prey more often, and is shown devouring its victims - new territory for the franchise. The cinematography also enjoys a new upgrade for the series with the best camera work by far. Unfortunately, that is where the upgrades stop. The movie loses some of its goofiness and could be a regular dumb shark movie, wasting the mutation opportunities just like the original. Not the worst of the series, but not the best.
