He begins investigating the murder of a man so he can prevent the execution of a woman on death row, whom he believes has been wrongly convicted. To make matters worse, her fiancé is the executioner tasked with despatching her. The score is completely at odds with the pace of the film, but otherwise it's a suspenseful hour of drama. Just about worth watching.
