Overview: Maya lives in Argentina and works at Fernando's restaurant, the man who raised her like a daughter, along with her mother, Ramona, who died a few years ago. Maya often performs at the restaurant and is acclaimed by everyone for her beautiful voice. She has the opportunity to participate in an important singing festival in Italy, but this provokes a very negative reaction from Fernando. Maya's real father, whom she has never met, is Italian, and he was undoubtedly a source of suffering for Ramona and Fernando. However, Maya decides to leave anyway; she cares too much about her future as a singer and doesn't want to miss this opportunity. Thus conflicts erupt and old resentments surface.
