Overview: A folk comedy loosely based on the career of Danish inventor and aviation pioneer Jacob Christian Ellehammer. We follow Ellehammer, his loyal assistant Pehtersen, and his patient wife as they battle creditors and widespread ridicule until, on September 12, 1906, Ellehammer becomes the first person in Europe to get a flying machine off the ground on the island of Lindholm.
