Overview: Giman is born a cripple, in an established family of farmers. He lives with beggars and young pickpockets in the city of Jogja. The harsh life creates a sense of solidarity amongst the street-urchins. Then Giman is rescued when his father and brother find him in the dormitory for displaced children.
