He is doing what he needs to do to survive. An unexpected event during the story leaves him in a difficult and scary situation. How the remainder of the story unfolds is realistic, at least in my opinion. The story says a lot about our society. The outcome is both funny and sad at the same time. I really enjoyed the movie and I recommend it.
