Overview: Heikki Aaltonen enlists in military service, leaving behind his father Hemminki, mother Mimmi, and beloved Helvi on the family farm. At the same time, another Heikki Aaltonen enlists, who is completely different in character from the future small farmer Aaltonen. The constant confusion between the men's names, the overprotective attitude of their parents, and Helvi's admission to a domestic science school near the regiment are all factors that tend to disrupt Heikki's military service.
