Overview: The film tells the love story of Çalıkuşu and Fahri. Çalıkuşu loses her family at a young age and goes to live with her aunts. There, she grows up with her cousin Fahri. When they reach adulthood, Çalıkuşu and Fahri decide to get married. Meanwhile, Fahri, who has graduated from school and become a famous poet, publishes his first book of poetry through his friend Suzan. However, the closeness between Suzan and Fahri upsets Çalıkuşu. At this time, Fahri visits Suzan due to his illness. Lütfiye, who plans to separate Çalıkuşu and Fahri, informs Çalıkuşu of the situation. Çalıkuşu leaves home, believing that Fahri has betrayed her. Çalıkuşu moves to Anatolia and will reunite with Fahri years later.
